Epic & Tournament Event Guides

Tournaments, events and clan hunts are absolutely essential to gain the resources necessary to advance in the game.

It’s a good idea to scan upcoming tournaments, and begin to build your army and save silver in advance for the ones you want to hit.  Reserve the use of your resources for the most valuable tournaments. The Total Battle Facebook Page has a monthly calendar showing upcoming events (except for Random events like Ragnarok).

For the highest value tournaments, it’s a good rule of thumb to train at least 10 times the number of troops you’re going to send at one time – that allows you 10 hits using the same troop settings, without having to take time to rebuild your army or being tempted to throw the kitchen sink at the beast instead of sticking to your max VP groupings.

There are no events you should always skip – usually it’s a good idea to hit every event a few times, at the very least you almost always get VP, XP, and armour fragments.  However, the events listed in the Skip section have diminishing returns after only a few hits. Use your resources carefully – know your goals and limits and stop when you hit them.

ALSO ALWAYS TURN ON all XP, VP, Army bonuses you have before starting to hit any Epic. In the Fenrir shop in Ragnarok you can buy week long bonuses that are a good deal. The Premium packages have nice bonuses for army/crypting/economy, but are Canadian $6.99/week.  If that’s affordable for you it’s recommended BUT AS ALWAYS be careful with your spending. We’re trying to get all of us to the point where you don’t have to pay to play.
