Clash of Kingdoms (CoK)
Clash of Kingdoms is a Kingdom vs. Kingdom event where players from different kingdoms battle to capture and hold banners. These banners accrue points for their respective kingdoms. The goal is to collect as many banners as possible and defend them to earn rewards and prestige for your kingdom.
This guide aims to help both new and experienced players understand and effectively participate in the Clash of Kingdoms events.
Preparation for KvK
- Scouting and Target Selection: Always scout the enemy kingdom before attacking. Focus on cities with high-level banners and valuable resources like gold ingots.
- Resource Management: Keep resources below warehouse levels to prevent looting. Use shields if you're not participating or store resources and troops in your clan fort.
- Portal Placement: Position your portal strategically, preferably on your kingdom’s shoreline closest to the target kingdom. This allows for quicker and safer attacks.
Attack Strategies
- Hero and Troop Selection: Use heroes like Aydae, Cleo, Dustin, Logos, or Tengel for attacks. Equip heroes with full battle gear for increased effectiveness.
- Coordination with Clan: Launch organized attacks with your clan. Designate a member with protected resources and troops in a fort to open the portal, minimizing losses in case of counterattacks.
- Continuous Attack: Use speed ups to quickly raid cities, aiming for 5-10 cities per portal opening. Ensure you move the portal periodically to maintain the element of surprise.
Defense Mechanisms
- Bunker Cities: Create bunker cities where banners are heavily guarded by reinforcements from clan members. This helps in protecting banners from enemy raids.
- Portal Management: Close enemy portals immediately upon detection to prevent their attacks and banner theft.
- Shield Usage: Apply shields to your cities if not participating actively in KvK to avoid attacks.

- Optimal Use of Portals: Use portals for quick raids into enemy territories, especially when targeting cities in kingdoms within your league.
Post-KvK Actions
- Assessment and Recovery: After the event, assess the loss or gain of resources and troops, and plan for resource recovery and rebuilding.
- Feedback and Strategy Adjustment: Provide feedback in your clan regarding what strategies worked and what didn’t, to improve in future events.
General Tips
- Communication: Keep constant communication with your clan, sharing intelligence and coordinating attacks and defenses.
- Enjoy the Game: Remember it’s a game; focus on having fun even as you compete fiercely against other kingdoms.
